Bud began his career in the financial services industry in 1986. He is a licensed insurance agent for life, health, and long-term care insurance and is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He and his wife, Betty, live in Rock Hill, S.C. They are members of First Baptist Church where Bud leads a Griefshare Class. Bud has also recently begun to volunteer with Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill as a grief counselor. He has sold his Harley and hung up his leather vest, but he is still drawn to engage in wistful conversations with Harley riders when the opportunity arises. He has two grown children; JoAnn, who works with the Red Cross, and his son, James works on his team. He also has two teenage grandchildren, Mitchell and Emily.
