Mike started his financial advising career in 1994 consulting local business owners working for a Chicago based accounting firm. In 1998 he created his advisory firm with the premise that he would act as his clients' personal financial guide, because that best describes the comprehensive planning and financial management role he can play in their lives. With multiple qualifications (CPA®, CFP®, CPFA) to his name, combined with the experience of running his own advisory firm, Mike Scroggins brings a proven, client-centric process to financial planning and management. Mike’s solutions-based approach is designed to help clients and businesses navigate their lifetime financial roadmap efficiently addressing wealth management, tax strategies, educational planning, estate concerns, risk management, and any other financial needs as they pass through the various stages of life while building a lasting legacy for their families. Naturally curious and outgoing, Mike likes being active and taking on new challenges and experiences. He is a golfing fanatic, feeling that it is much more than just a game – an experience that requires planning, risk assessment, calculated decision making all while enjoying a beautiful environment with the goal of posting a rewarding round – similar to a well-managed financial life plan. Mike also enjoys connecting with nature by camping, hiking and boating. He loves to explore the world through travel, specifically India, Nepal and Tibet. His travels to South Asia inspired Mike’s profound interest in yogic philosophies. Mike shares these experiences and philosophies with Holly, and together they strive to be outstanding examples to their children and others. Over the years, Mike has participated in several civil and athletic organizations with continued ongoing support for his and his parent’s high school, Joliet Catholic Academy. Mike is a graduate of University of Illinois and now enjoys supporting his children’s transition though college on their path to becoming considerate productive members of society. His daughter, Reese, is excelling in her Honor’s studies at Illinois State University’s Mennonite College of Nursing as a recipient of ISU’s exclusive Presidential Scholarship. His son, Harrison, recent graduate of Lincolnway West High School, 4-year class president and recipient of LLW Ultimate Warrior, is attending Butler University. Mike joined Wealth Enhancement Group in 2022 through the Scroggins Wealth Management acquisition.
