For over 25 years, Mark has successfully managed investments for high-net worth individuals, trusts and foundations using third-party managers, mutual funds, ETF’s and individual securities.
He has spent much of his career as an equity analyst and has particular expertise managing individual stocks and dealing with the challenges of portfolios that have low cost basis stocks and concentrated holdings.
Mark’s investment perspective draws on 18 years of experience with the Bank of America Private Bank and Wells Fargo Private Bank where he worked with large family relationships and complex trusts. He started his career at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and spent four years in international banking before joining a San Francisco-based mutual fund group as an analyst and portfolio manager.
Mark is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a Master’s Degree in International Economics from the University of San Francisco. A strong proponent of financial education, he served on the board of directors of the Bay Area Financial Education Foundation and was Adjunct Professor of Finance for 15 years at his alma mater.
Mark enjoys reading, cooking and traveling. He and his wife live in San Francisco.
