Meet the Lighthouse Team

A native of Upstate New York, Katy loves the snow. After graduating from The Pennsylvania State University, she transplanted to Boston where she participated in the AmeriCorps VISTA program. After her year of AmeriCorps service was complete, Katy earned her Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Business Analytics at Simmons College. At the time, the Simmons College MBA program was women's-only, offering a unique learning perspective.

Katy was introduced to the world of investing through her internship at Vanguard where she worked on improving the client experience and helped to quantitatively measure the social return on investment of the business' employee programs.

When Katy joined the Lighthouse Team, she found her home within the industry, combining her passions of helping people and preparing analysis with defined, actionable items. She loves working for the community in which she lives, determining clients' financial planning needs, analyzing each of their unique situations. Katy especially enjoys helping families by setting and achieving specific goals. Katy donates her expertise and time to Wings for Widows, a nonprofit that offers complimentary financial planning to those who have lost a spouse. She is also a proud founding member of Wealth Enhancement’s Women’s ERG.

Katy is a local in the Pinehurst community in Lake Linganore where she lives with her husband and three children. Katy enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, kayaking, or digging in the dirt with her kids. Having rowed on the Penn State Crew team for four years and her high school rowing team before that, she loves being on the water, especially at her family's camp on Cayuga Lake in Upstate NY.
