Gene focuses in asset wealth management and adheres to a conservative investment style, basing diversification and asset allocation on the desires and goals of each individual. Was born and raised in New York, where he earned a degree in economics from Columbia University in 1984. Prior to his career in the financial services industry, Gene spent ten years playing Major League Baseball. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 1984, played two-and-a-half years in the minor leagues and was called up to the majors in 1987. He was a member of the 1987 and 1991 World Series teams, driving in the winning run in 1991 with a pinch-hit single in the 10th inning of game seven against the Atlanta Braves. After ending his baseball career in 1994, Gene joined New Era Financial Group Inc. and he joined Wealth Enhancement Group in 2023. Gene currently resides in Victoria, Minnesota. His love for baseball has not diminished – he still runs baseball camps and clinics for kids and coaches the Edina Legion team in the summer.
